Biography

Attorney Kent DeJean is an accomplished lawyer who specializes in Social Security Benefits and Veteran Affairs and is accredited by the Department of Veteran Affairs. He was born in Opelousas, Louisiana and graduated from Opelousas Catholic High School in 1980.

He graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1983, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He later obtained a Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University Paul Hebert Law Center in 1986.

Kent began practicing law in 1986. He worked in Eunice, Louisiana before joining Losavio & DeJean. Kent has over 25 years of experience in the general practice of law including willssuccessionsestate planninginterdictionSocial Security disability, adoptions, bankruptcy, and family law. He was also a court-appointed attorney for juveniles from 1986 to 2002.

Kent now lives in Baton Rouge. He enjoys spending his time with his identical twin brother, Scott, and his family. He also enjoys traveling and Cajun/Zydeco music. He is huge LSU football and sports fan. He is a season ticket holder and has not missed an LSU football home game in 34 years. He has appeared regularly on the Coach Les Miles weekly radio show as the “Evil Twin” for over 10 years and regularly asks the third question on the Coach Orgeron Show.
